We concentrate on special-interest books that are unlikely to become best-sellers, but which document stories that in our view deserve telling before they are lost forever.  Our art biographies are written for collectors, curators, dealers and anyone else with an interest in these artists and their work.

We are particulary excited about our latest book, the biography of Hewitt Henry Rayner.  In addition to telling, for the first time, the story of Rayner's life and work, it also includes his fascinating reminiscences of Walter Sickert and other figures from London's artistic and literary worlds of the 1920s and 1930s.

Matthew Sturgis, noted Sickert expert and author of ‘Walter Sickert, a life’ (Harper Collins, 2005), has said of this new book about Henry Rayner:  ‘For me, this book’s great claim to attention lies in the many fascinating sidelights that it sheds upon the life and character of Walter Sickert  ....   It will be a useful and enduring addition to the story of early Twentieth Century British art’.
